Few players made a stronger first impression at the 2026 FIFA World Cup than Morocco’s Ayyoub Bouaddi. The young midfielder has been selected in Opta’s Team of the Tournament Opening Round after delivering a composed and influential performance in Morocco’s 1-1 draw against Brazil.
Making his World Cup debut at just 18 years of age, Bouaddi showed little sign of nerves despite facing one of international football’s most accomplished teams. For Bouaddi, the recognition represents another milestone in a career that continues to gather momentum.
