Brampton is rolling into the third year of its Shared E-scooter Pilot Program, continuing to provide an efficient and eco-friendly way for residents and visitors to navigate the city. Since its introduction in 2023, the initiative has reshaped urban mobility while aligning with Brampton’s environmental and transportation objectives.
The program plays a significant role in Brampton’s Active Transportation Master Plan and supports the City’s 2040 Vision. By increasing access to alternative transit options, it encourages more walking, cycling, and public transit use, helping to reduce dependence on single-occupant vehicles.
Over the past two years, the pilot has achieved notable milestones:
For the latest season, up to 900 e-scooters will once again be available across the city through partnerships with Neuron, Bird Canada, and SCOOTY. Riders can continue to use a hybrid parking system that blends designated parking areas with free-floating zones. In-app features will guide users to return scooters to approved locations in high-traffic areas, ensuring public spaces remain accessible and organized.
Brampton remains dedicated to developing forward-thinking transportation solutions that support a cleaner and more connected urban environment.
